A first playable brief starts with a choice: which part of the experience should someone try? A game can contain many systems, but a short interactive ad needs a route the audience can understand in its own context.

For a founder considering a first paid build, defining that route gives the production discussion something concrete to work with.

Choose the decision you want to show

An upgrade choice, a placement puzzle or a match can each form the basis of an interaction. They are examples, not a formula that fits every title. Pick a decision that represents the experience you want to communicate.

Describe what is visible at the start, what the player can do and how the screen responds. Include the intended success, failure or completion state and the route to the end card.

Decide what this unit leaves out

You may not need the full progression system, every character or all of the game's environments to show the chosen decision. Discuss those exclusions explicitly instead of treating a small first build as an undefined sample of the whole game.

A smaller unit is useful when its purpose is clear. It still needs the production work necessary for the agreed destination and acceptance criteria.

Bring assets and network requirements into the estimate

Show the available art, gameplay references and brand material. Name the target network and any current requirements your team already has. Missing assets or an unconfirmed destination are questions for the scope discussion, not details to hide until delivery.

At KSTUDIO, the next step is to review the intended route and materials before quoting the production. The proposal should define the deliverables, revision terms, exclusions and delivery timing for that particular job.

Keep the first build's conclusion realistic

Receiving a working playable tells you what was produced and whether it meets the agreed production criteria. Commercial results still depend on the campaign and the product. The first build is paid production, with a scope both sides can inspect.
